"There was more snowstorms than meditators in Alabama when I was growing up," said Light Watkins, who started a career as a working model before switching gears to become a yoga teacher and then dove into the world of Vedic meditation. With his newest book, "Bliss More, How to Succeed in Meditation Without Really Trying," Watkins, who is now a meditation teacher and lives as a nomad, said his mission is to "simplify the approach" to meditation "and help people start something that they can get excited about." “NO ONE FEELS 100% CONFIDENT IN THEMSELVES ALL THE TIME.” - EMILY SKYE There’s so many times where we focus on what society tells us will make us happy, and that’s all we chase. Money, a nice car, a house, and material objects that show off our “success." We always end up overlooking ourselves. You avoid exercising until the doctor says you have to. That’s why I wanted to do a mashup this week on overcoming emotional obstacles from some of the masters: Emily Skye, Josh Shipp, Rupi …

My near-death experience in the mountains This story changed my life. It’s about my near-death experience and why death became one of my greatest teacher - and still is! I will tell you this personal story because hopefully I will be able to wake something up in yourself - the desire to live, the desire to celebrate that you are still alive and the sparkle of curiosity in life. Because hey, you could be dead, but you are still here, like I am and I think we should stop to deny that death can really be around the corner, even if this makes you almost panic and freak out. Rather do that, than to be in a paralyzed mind state where you ignore those thoughts. Let me take you on this journey and afterwards - let's celebrate.
"LACK OF REVENUE IS NOT YOUR GREATEST PROBLEM; A LACK OF REPUTATION IS." - RORY VADEN There is something incredibly important in life that I don't hear enough people talking about. It's called your personal brand and it goes far beyond your career. I started learning about personal branding over 10 years ago when I got into the entrepreneurial world. But it wasn't until I felt the need to …

Vamos explorar as causas e os efeitos das expectativas. E talvez, no final deste episódio, você concorde comigo que a gente vive melhor sem alimentar expectativas sobre nós, sobre os outros ou sobre acontecimentos.
