For reasons both obvious and perhaps less so, this week's episode holds a very special place in my heart. There is something unique about sitting before a microphone that permits a species of conversation difficult to otherwise have. Done right, the inherent formality of putting it all on the record can countenance an experience of rare intimacy that scarcely transpires in the course of conventional human interaction. From the very beginning of this podcast journey, I've longed to host my father on the show. To provide a ceremonial opportunity to probe his life, uninterrupted. To learn things about him I've always wanted to know — but for whatever reason just never found the right occasion to ask. For years, I harbored the fear that if I didn't make such an experience a priority, it might never happen. And that would be something I would deeply …
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE THE BEST. So often we feel behind. Other people have already figured out what they want. Other people got started earlier. They’re sure of the path they’re on. But that’s not necessarily a good thing. I would have never thought I’d end up where I am now. My whole life I’ve been a generalist. I’ve never been the best at anything. There was always someone bigger, faster, and stronger. But I had heart and vision, and I was willing to work just as hard. This allowed me to collect a lot of different skills. Those skills, even though they seem random, make me successful on the path I’m on now. If you take your time and follow your inspiration, you’ll end up somewhere you couldn’t have even imagined. On today’s episode of The School of Greatness, I talk about finding …

Eu me esforço tanto...

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, we could all benefit from dating more deeply and effectively. In this episode, I offer tips on how to connect with someone on a values basis in order to create deeper connections. We often strive to be with people that don’t share our same values, but that’s just us trying to make something work that doesn’t naturally fit. So I offer practical tips to take any relationship to that next level. I encourage you to skip the small talk, listen, be vulnerable and find someone that increases your well-being. I share the 70/30 rule of online dating to help you be more transparent about what you’re looking for in your relationship. I also share my opinion on ghosting and how to react to it.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
